Call to Worship
Colossians 1:15-20
Leader: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
All: For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
Leader: And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
All: And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
Leader: For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
All: and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

By St. Francis of Assisi (1225); Translated by William H. Draper; Arr: David Crowder
All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him, alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sound in heaven along

Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him, alleluia
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in One
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
[Ending]
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Confession of Sin
1 Peter 2:21-25
Leader: For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
All: He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.
Leader: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
All: For we were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.
Silent Prayers of Confession
Assurance of Forgiveness
Psalm 118:17-24
All: I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD.
Leader: The LORD has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
All: Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.
Leader: This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it.
All: I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation.
Leader: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
All: This is the LORD's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Man Of Sorrows
Hillsong Worship
Man of sorrows, Lamb of God, by His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God has been on Jesus laid
Silent as He stood accused, beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father’s will, He took a crown of thorns
[Chorus]
Oh, that rugged cross, my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, “Hallelujah!”
Praise and honor unto Thee
Sent of heaven, God’s own Son, to purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones who nailed Him to that tree
Bridge: Now my debt is paid, it is paid in full
By the precious blood that my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin has no hold on me
Who the Son sets free, oh is free indeed

Pastoral Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Sermon Passage
Acts 2:32-41
2:32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
"' The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies your footstool.'
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."
37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself." 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation." 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
Pastor: The grass withers and the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

Psalm 16 (Fullness of Joy)
Shane and Shane
Preserve me, O God, for I find rest in You alone
I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord, I have no good apart from You"
All sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, my delight
Let's sing together, ”No other gods shall satisfy,” God, You satisfy
[Chorus 1]
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
You give me counsel, my heart instructs me in the night
You are before me, because You're for me I'm alright, it'll be alright
[Chorus 2]
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
At Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore, forevermore
[Bridge]
My heart is glad and my soul rejoice; My flesh it dwells secure
'Cause You put on flesh lived a blameless life, my curse on the cross You bore
Then You ripped the doors off the city of death and the chains fell to the floor
Now the serpent's crushed, it has been finished; You reign forevermore
You are my portion, my cup, and You make my lot secure
The lines have fallen, for me in pleasant places, a beautiful inheritance
The Lord’s Supper
† Receive bread and juice from one of our section hosts near you. Gluten free wafers are available at the front table. We will all eat and drink together.
God is For Us
By CityAlight.
We won't fear the battle, we won’t fear the night
We will walk the valley with You by our side
You will go before us, You will lead the way
We have found a refuge, only You can save
[Chorus]
Sing with joy now: our God is for us
The Father's love is a strong and mighty fortress
Raise your voice now, no love is greater
Who can stand against us if our God is for us
Even when I stumble, even when I fall
Even when I turn back, still Your love is sure
You will not abandon, You will not forsake
You will cheer me onward with never-ending grace [Chorus]
[Bridge]
Neither height nor depth can separate us
Hell and death will not defeat us
He who gave His son to free us
Holds me in His love
Neither height nor depth can separate us
Hell and death will not defeat us
He who gave His son to free us
Holds me in His love [Chorus]
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
