Call to Worship
Genesis 1:1-3; 14-18
Leader: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
All: And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Leader: And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.
All: And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

Psalm 116 (I Love You, Lord)
By Mission House
I love you, Lord, for You have delivered me
I love you, Lord, for You have delivered…
CHORUS:
My soul from death, my feet from stumbling
I will walk in the land of the living
My soul from death, my feet from stumbling
I will walk in the land of the living
I will bless You, Lord, for You heard my cry
I reached out my hand and You saved my life
I will bless You, Lord, for You heard my plea
And the God of Heaven turned His ear to me
I will bless You, Lord, for unending love
For Your grace and mercy raining down from above
I will bless You, Lord, to the very end
I will call on You as long as I may live
Confession of Sin
Genesis 3:1-6
Leader: Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?" And the woman said to the serpent,
All: "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"
Leader: But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
All: So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.
Silent Prayers of Confession
God’s Assurance of Forgiveness
Hebrews 10:19-23
Leader: Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,
All: by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,
Leader: and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
All: let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Lord From Sorrows Deep I Call
Matt Papa and Matt Boswell
Lord, from sorrows deep I call when my hope is shaken
Torn and ruined from the fall, hear my desperation
For so long I’ve pled and prayed, “God, come to my rescue!”
Even so, the thorn remains; still my heart will praise You
Storms within my troubled soul, questions without answers
On my faith these billows roll; God be now my shelter
Why are you cast down my soul? Hope in Him who saves you
When the fires have all grown cold, cause this heart to praise You
CHORUS:
Oh, my soul, put your hope in God
My help, my rock, I will praise Him
Sing, oh sing, through the raging storm
You’re still my God, my salvation
Should my life be torn from me, every worldly pleasure
When all I possess is grief, God be then my treasure
Be my vision in the night, be my hope and refuge
’Til my faith is turned to sight, still my heart will praise You

Sermon Passage
Psalm 19:1-14
TO THE CHOIRMASTER. A PSALM OF DAVID.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4 Their measuring line goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; 8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
Leader: The grass withers and the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

We Need To Hear Your Word (Psalm 119:33-40)
Nathan Partain
Train our hearts to love what You command
We let go of our perceptions as You lead us by the hand
Every foreign step we trust You as we follow further on
As you give us your desire, we obey with all we are
CHORUS:
Oh, we need to hear Your Word
Oh, we need to hear Your Word
Please don’t let Your branches wither
or Your children die for thirst
Oh, we need to hear Your Word
Turn us back we try to fill our-selves.
Show the emptiness fulfillment is outside your perfect will,
O how easily like sheep deceived without their shpherd’s voice.
Make alive in us your scripture, melody against the noise.
BRIDGE:
Father, help our souls to hear You
Spirit, by Your power break through
Jesus, live in us and make true all You’ve said
Lord, we need to hear Your Word
The Lord’s Supper

How Great Thou Art
1885 Carl Boberg. 1949 Stuart K. Hine. 2018 Shane and Shane.
Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
CHORUS:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
