Call to Worship
Revelation 4:1-11
Leader: After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said,
All: "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."
Leader: At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.
All: From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God,
Leader: and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,
All: "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
Leader: And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
All: "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."
Crown Him With Many Crowns
Lyrics: Matthew Bridges, 1851. Arrangement: Perimeter Music.
Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own; all music but its own
Awake, my soul and sing of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity; through all eternity
Crown Him the Lord of life who triumphed o'er the grave
Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save; for those He came to save
His glories now we sing who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring and lives that death may die; He lives that death may die
Crown Him the Lord of love, behold His hands and side
Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified; in beauty glorified
All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou hast died for me
Thy praise and glory shall not fail through all eternity; though all eternity
Awake, my soul and sing of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity; through all eternity
Confession of Sin
Matthew 6:19-21
Leader: "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
All: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Silent Prayers of Confession
Assurance of God’s Forgiveness
1 Corinthians 15:19-22
Leader: If in this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
All: But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
All Sufficient Merit
By Bethany Bernard
All sufficient merit shining like the sun
A fortune I inherit by no work I have done
My righteousness I forfeit at my Savior's cross
Where all sufficient merit did what I could not
In love He condescended eternal now in time
A life without a blemish the Maker made to die
The law could never save us, our lawlessness had won
Until the pure and spotless Lamb had finally come
CHORUS:
It is done, it is finished, no more debt I owe
Paid in full, all sufficient merit now my own
I lay down my garments, any empty boasts
Good works all corrupted by the sinful host
Dressed in my Lord Jesus, a crimson robe made white
No more fear of judgement, His righteousness is mine
BRIDGE:
It's now my own
All sufficient merit, firm in life and death
The joy of my salvation shall be my final breath
And when I stand accepted before the throne of God
I'll gaze upon my Jesus and thank Him for the cross
Yes I'll thank You for the cross
Psalm 16 (Fullness of Joy)
Shane and Shane
Preserve me, O God, for I find rest in You alone
I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord, I have no good apart from You"
All sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, my delight
Let's sing together, ”No other gods shall satisfy,” God, You satisfy
CHORUS:
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
You give me counsel, my heart instructs me in the night
You are before me, because You're for me I'm alright, it'll be alright
CHORUS:
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
At Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore, forevermore
BRIDGE:
My heart is glad and my soul rejoice; My flesh it dwells secure
'Cause You put on flesh lived a blameless life, my curse on the cross You bore
Then You ripped the doors off the city of death and the chains fell to the floor
Now the serpent's crushed, it has been finished; You reign forevermore
You are my portion, my cup, and You make my lot secure
The lines have fallen, for me in pleasant places, a beautiful inheritance

Sermon Passage
Acts 2:22-37
22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know- 23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. 25 For David says concerning him,
"' I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; 26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. 27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.'
29 "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
"' The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, 35 until I make your enemies your footstool.'
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."
37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
Leader: The grass withers and the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
Sermon
"The Kingdom Has Come"

God of Calvary
By Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin, Jonas Myrin, and Matthew James Redman
On the hill of Calvary the Light of all the world
With the world on His shoulders
The weight of all our shame on Him who knew no sin
A holy surrender
The sky went dark; the angels wept; The Father looked away
The final breath; He bowed His head; The Lamb of God was slain
CHORUS:
By His wounds I am set free. By His blood I've been redeemed
The great divide He crossed for me, Oh, praise the God of Calvary
On the hill of Calvary into His Father's hands; A holy surrender
A borrowed tomb; His mother wept; And there His body lay
The stone was moved; He conquered death; And rose from the grave
CHORUS:
By His wounds I am set free; By His blood I've been redeemed
The great divide He crossed for me; Oh, praise the God of Calvary
BRIDGE:
And if I never, ever lose sight of this place
I will never, ever lose sight of Your grace
Your cross is all, all I need to see; Oh, praise the God of Calvary
CHORUS:
By Your wounds I am set free; By Your blood I've been redeemed
The great divide You crossed for me; Oh, praise the God of Calvary
Your cross is all, all I need to see; Oh, praise the God of Calvary
The Lord’s Supper

Psalm 107 (We Give Thanks)
Sovereign Grace Music
Once in the wilderness of our sin
We wandered lost and without hope
Into our desert waste God in grace
Came to restore and bring us home
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
CHORUS:
We give thanks, O God, for Your steadfast love
We give thanks, O God, for You are good, Lord, You are good
We give thanks
Through every pain and trial, You provide
Light in the dark of our distress
Lifting us from on high when we cry
Turning our grief to gratefulness
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
You take the darkness and make it as light
Hearts that were dead in sin, You raise to life
You take a barren place and make it a spring
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
