Call to Worship
Psalm 100
A PSALM FOR GIVING THANKS.

Leader:  Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

All:  Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!  For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 107 (We Give Thanks)
Sovereign Grace Music

Once in the wilderness of our sin
We wandered lost and without hope
Into our desert waste God in grace
Came to restore and bring us home
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing

CHORUS:
We give thanks, O God, for Your steadfast love
We give thanks, O God, for You are good, Lord, You are good
We give thanks

Through every pain and trial, You provide
Light in the dark of our distress
Lifting us from on high when we cry
Turning our grief to gratefulness
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing

BRIDGE:
You take the darkness and make it as light
Hearts that were dead in sin, You raise to life
You take a barren place and make it a spring
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing

All Creatures Of Our God And King
By St. Francis of Assisi (1225); Translated by William H. Draper; Arr: David Crowder

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him, alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sound in heaven along
O praise Him, alleluia
Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him, alleluia
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in One
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Confession of Our Sin
Leviticus 19:11-18

All:  You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.
You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.
You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.

You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the LORD.

You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people,

but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Silent Prayers

Assurance of God’s Forgiveness
Romans 8:2-4

Leader:  For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do.

All:  By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Abide With Me
Words by: Henry Francis Lyte (1847); Arrangement: Indelible Grace Music

Abide with me, fast falls the eventide
The darkness deepens, Lord with me abide
When other helpers fail and comforts flee
Help of the helpless, abide with me

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile
Thou hast not left me, though I oft left Thee
On to the close Lord, abide with me

I need Thy presence, every passing hour
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, abide with me

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless
Ills have no weight, tears lose their bitterness
Where is thy sting death? Where grave thy vic - tor - y?
I triumph still, abide with me

Hold Thou Thy cross, before my closing eyes
Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee
In life, in death, Lord, abide with me

Sermon Passage
Acts 5:12-42

12 Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico.  13 None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high esteem.  14 And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,  15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them.  16 The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

17 But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy  18 they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison.  19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,  20 "Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life."  21 And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach.

Now when the high priest came, and those who were with him, they called together the council and all the senate of Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought.  22 But when the officers came, they did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported,  23 "We found the prison securely locked and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them we found no one inside."  24 Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to.  25 And someone came and told them, "Look! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people."  26 Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people.

27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them,  28 saying, "We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us."  29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.  30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree.  31 God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.  32 And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

33 When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.  34 But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, stood up and gave orders to put the men outside for a little while.  35 And he said to them, "Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men.  36 For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.  37 After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him. He too perished, and all who followed him were scattered.  38 So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail;  39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!" So they took his advice,  40 and when they had called in the apostles, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.  41 Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.  42 And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Leader:   The word of God...
All:  ...will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8b)

Sermon
"Of God"

The Lord Almighty Reigns
By Keith and Kristyn Getty, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa; Arr: Paul Campbell

There's an endless song waiting to be sung
With the voice of every tribe, the sound of every tongue
When the bride of Christ on that day of days
Brings with joy unto the land a multitude of praise
Like the roar of mighty seas and rolls of thunder
Hear His people sing

CHORUS:
Hallelujah; Hallelujah
For the Lord Almighty reigns
Hallelujah, hallelujah
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns

We will join the feast, rest from battles won
Tell with great rejoicing all the wonders God has donе

Certain of that day, Christ we will proclaim
Oh, that more would share the prize, salvation in His name
Then greater will the anthem ring
A mighty chorus rising to the King

Let The Nations Be Glad
By Matt Boswell, Aaron Boswell, Matt Papa.

Let the glory of the Lord forever be our joy
May redemption be the theme of our song
For by grace we have been saved and by grace we shall proclaim
To the corners of the earth that Christ has come

CHORUS:
Let the nations be glad; Let the people rejoice
For salvation belongs to our God
Let the whole earth be filled with the praises of the Lord
For salvation belongs to our God; Let the nations be glad

Through the ages gone before; through the trial and the sword
Many saints and martyrs conquered though they died
Still we're holding out the cross, crossing oceans, suffering loss
Shall endure all things to win the crown of life (Chorus)

As Your holy church goes forth in the Holy Spirit's power
With the glories of the gospel to explain
Now we pray Your kingdom come, and we pray Your will be done
For the honor and the glory of Your Name (Chorus)

Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
