Holy, Holy, Holy
Reginald Heber; arr. Highlands Worship.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty
God in three persons, blessed Trinity

Holy, holy, holy, though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eyes of sinful man Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee
Perfect in power, in love and purity

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty
God in three persons, blessed Trinity

Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Jesus reigns!

And let all the earth proclaim, all the people sing,
You are holy!  You are holy!
And let all the heavens ring, “Worthy is the King!”
You are holy!  You are holy!

Call to Worship
Isaiah 52:7-10

LEADER:  How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."
ALL:  The voice of your watchmen- they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the LORD to Zion.
LEADER:  Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.
ALL:  The LORD has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Prayer of Adoration

The Love Of The Father
CityAlight

Lift up your voices and lift up your praise
Join with the heavens declaring the wonders
Of His faithfulness forever
Sing of the victory, the hope of the world
The Savior has risen, the Spirit has come to
Bring us into love forever

CHORUS:
Oh, we are the people of God
With the freedom of hope in our hearts
How great is the love of the Father

Lifted from darkness and into the light
The sons and the daughters are loved at a price
Our God has made us His forever

BRIDGE:
This is the song of the redeemed, the ransomed and the free
Given life at such a price; this is love, this is love
And when the Father calls us home and we see Him on the throne
Hear the voices sing as one, “This is love, this is love”

Confession of Sin
Isaiah 6:1-7

LEADER: In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said:
ALL:  "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!"
LEADER:  And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said:
ALL:  "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
LEADER:  Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said:
ALL:  "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.

Silent Prayers

Assurance of God’s Forgiveness
Isaiah 61:1-4

LEADER:  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
ALL:  that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

We Need To Hear Your Word (Psalm 119:33-40)
Nathan Partain

Train our hearts to love what You command
We let go of our perceptions as You lead us by the hand
Every foreign step we trust You as we follow further on
As you give us your desire, we obey with all we are

CHORUS:
Oh, we need to hear Your Word
Oh, we need to hear Your Word
Please don’t let Your branches wither
or Your children die for thirst
Oh, we need to hear Your Word

Turn us back we try to fill our-selves.
Show the emptiness fulfillment is outside your perfect will,
O how easily like sheep deceived without their shpherd’s voice.
Make alive in us your scripture, melody against the noise.

BRIDGE:
Father, help our souls to hear You
Spirit, by Your power break through
Jesus, live in us and make true all You’ve said

Sermon Passage
Ecclesiastes 3:1-15

3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
9 What gain has the worker from his toil?  10 I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.  11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.  12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live;  13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil- this is God's gift to man.
14 I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.  15 That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.

LEADER:  The grass withers, the flower fades,
ALL:  but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

Whatever My God Ordains Is Right
Sovereign Grace Music, Bob Kauflin

Whate'er my God ordains is right; His holy will abideth
I will be still, whate'er He does; And follow where He guideth
He is my God, though dark my road; He holds me that I shall not fall
And so to Him I leave it all; And so to Him I leave it all

Whate'er my God ordains is right; He never will deceive me
He leads me by the proper path; I know He will not leave me
I take, content, what He hath sent; His hand can turn my griefs away
And patiently I wait His day; And patiently I wait His day

Whate'er my God ordains is right; Though now this cup, in drinking
May bitter seem to my faint heart; I take it, all unshrinking
My God is true, each morn anew; Sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart
And pain and sorrow shall depart; And pain and sorrow shall depart

Whate'er my God ordains is right; Here shall my stand be taken
Though sorrow, need, or death be mine; Yet am I not forsaken
My Father's care is ‘round me there; He holds me that I shall not fall
And so to Him I leave it all; And so to Him I leave it all

On Christ The Solid Rock
By Edward Mote (1834); Arr: Justin Cofield

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly lean on Jesus' name

When darkness veils His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
in every high and stormy gale
my anchor holds within the veil

CHORUS:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

His oath, His covenant, His blood
support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay

When He shall come with trumpet sound
O may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
faultless to stand before the throne  (Chorus)

BRIDGE:
All my hope is in You, All my strength is in You
All my hope is in You, All my strength is in You

Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
