Call to Worship
Psalm 90:1-6
Leader: Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
All: Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Leader: You return man to dust and say, "Return, O children of man!"
All: For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.
Leader: You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning:
All: in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers.
Amazing Grace
Words & Music: John Newton, 1779; John P Rees, Edwin Othello Excell.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T’was grace that taught my heart to fear.
And grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.
Psalm 107 (We Give Thanks)
Sovereign Grace Music
Once in the wilderness of our sin
We wandered lost and without hope
Into our desert waste God in grace
Came to restore and bring us home
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
CHORUS:
We give thanks, O God, for Your steadfast love
We give thanks, O God, for You are good, Lord, You are good
We give thanks
Through every pain and trial, You provide
Light in the dark of our distress
Lifting us from on high when we cry
Turning our grief to gratefulness
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
You take the darkness and make it as light
Hearts that were dead in sin, You raise to life
You take a barren place and make it a spring
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
Let the redeemed of God rise up and sing
Confession of Sin
Psalm 90:7-11
Leader: For we are brought to an end by your anger; by your wrath we are dismayed.
All: You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.
Leader: For all our days pass away under your wrath; we bring our years to an end like a sigh.
All: The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty;
Leader: yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
All: Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?
Silent Prayers
Assurance of Forgiveness
Psalm 90:12-17
Leader: So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
All: You have given us “the sacred writings, which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Tim 3:15)
Leader: Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!
All: Jesus promised us, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! (Rev 22:20)
Leader: Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
All: You satisfy us with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles! (Psalm 103:5)
Leader: Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil.
All: This light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison! (2 Cor 4:17)
Leader: Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.
All: We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Leader: Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!
All: Jesus declared, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)

When the sea is calm and all is right
When I feel Your favor flood my life
Even in the good, I'll follow You
Even in the good, I'll follow You
When the boat is tossed upon the waves
When I wonder if You'll keep me safe
Even in the storms, I'll follow You
Even in the storms, I'll follow You
CHORUS:
I believe everything that You say You are
I believe and I have seen Your unchanging heart
In the good things and in the hardest part
I believe and I will follow You
I believe and I will follow You
When I see the wicked prospering
When I feel I have no voice to sing
Even in the want, I'll follow You
Yes, even in the want, I'll follow You
When I find myself so far from home
And You lead me somewhere I don't wanna go
Even in my death, I'll follow You
Even in my death, I'll follow You
When I come to end this race I've run
And I receive the prize that Christ has won
Yes, I will be with You in paradise
Oh, I will be with You in paradise

Sermon Passage
Ecclesiastes 9:1-12
1 But all this I laid to heart, examining it all, how the righteous and the wise and their deeds are in the hand of God. Whether it is love or hate, man does not know; both are before him. 2 It is the same for all, since the same event happens to the righteous and the wicked, to the good and the evil, to the clean and the unclean, to him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As is the good, so is the sinner, and he who swears is as he who shuns an oath. 3 This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that the same event happens to all. Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 4 But he who is joined with all the living has hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever they have no more share in all that is done under the sun.
7 Go, eat your bread in joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do. 8 Let your garments be always white. Let not oil be lacking on your head. 9 Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun. 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
11 Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all. 12 For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them.
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

God of Calvary
By Matt Maher
On the hill of Calvary the Light of all the world; With the world on His shoulders
The weight of all our shame on Him who knew no sin
A holy surrender
The sky went dark; the angels wept; The Father looked away
The final breath; He bowed His head; The Lamb of God was slain
CHORUS:
By His wounds I am set free. By His blood I've been redeemed
The great divide He crossed for me, Oh, praise the God of Calvary
On the hill of Calvary into His Father's hands; A holy surrender
A borrowed tomb; His mother wept; And there His body lay
The stone was moved; He conquered death; And rose from the grave
BRIDGE:
And if I never, ever lose sight of this place
I will never, ever lose sight of Your grace
Your cross is all, all I need to see; Oh, praise the God of Calvary
The Lord’s Supper
† Receive bread and juice from one of our section hosts near you. Gluten free wafers are available at the front table. We will all eat and drink together.
Praise the Lord Ye Heavens
Young Oceans, Harvest
Praise the Lord Ye heavens adore him
Praise him angels in the height
Sun and moon, rejoice before him
Praise him, all ye stars of light
Praise the Lord for he hath spoken
Worlds his mighty voice obeyed
Laws which never shall be broken
For their guidance he hath made
CHORUS:
All creation join the song of praise
Let every tongue declare His mighty ways
And we will sing of Your goodness and mercy all of our days
Praise the Lord for he is glorious
Never shall his promise fail
God hath made his saints victorious
Sin and death shall not prevail (CHORUS)
Glory! Glory! All glory to You Lord!
Praise the God of our salvation
Hosts on high, his power proclaim
Heaven and earth, and all creation
Laud and magnify his Name (CHORUS)
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
