Call to Worship
Psalm 33:1-8
Leader: Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.
All: Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
Leader: Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.
All: For the word of the LORD is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD.
Leader: By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
All: He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
Come Thou Fount
Robert Robinson (1758); Alterer: Martin Madan (1760).
Come Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love
Here I raise my Ebenezer,
Hither by Thy help I come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
O to grace how great a debtor,
Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it;
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, Lord take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above
O that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face
Clothed then in my blood washed linen,
How I'll sing Thy sovereign grace
Come, my Lord, do not tarry,
Take my ransomed soul away
Send Thine angels now to carry
Me to realms of endless days
Psalm 127 (Unless the Lord)
The Corner Room
Unless the Lord builds the house
Those who build it labor in vain
Unless the Lord watches over the city
The watchman stays awake in vain
It is in vain that you rise up early
And go late to rest
Eating the bread of anxious toil
For he gives to his beloved sleep
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord
The fruit of the womb a reward
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
Are the children of one’s youth
Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
When he speaks with his enemies in the gate
Unless the Lord builds the house
Those who build it labor in vain
Confession of Sin
James 4:1-4, 6, 1:19-21
Leader: What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?
All: You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel.
Leader: You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
All: Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Leader: Know this, my beloved brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls..
Silent Prayers
Assurance of Forgiveness
Titus 5:4-7
Leader: But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared…
All: …he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
You’ve Already Won
Shane and Shane
There's peace that outlasts darkness; hope that's in the blood
There's future grace that's mine today that Jesus Christ has won
So I can face tomorrow for tomorrow's in Your hands
All I need, You will provide just like You always have
I'm fighting a battle You've already won
No matter what comes my way I will overcome
Don't know what You're doing, but I know what You've done
And I'm fighting a battle You've already won
There's mercy in the waiting; manna for today
And when it's gone, I know You're not
You are my hope and stay
When the sea is raging Your Spirit is my help
He'll fix my eyes on Jesus Christ I'll say that it is well
Oh, I know that it is well
I know how the story ends; We will be with You again
You're my Savior, my defense; No more fear in life or death

Sermon Passage
Ecclesiastes 12:9-14
9 Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care. 10 The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. 12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

There Is A Lamb
By Kadon Slay and Melanie Tierce
There is a sound like a roar of thunder
Like the rushing waters like harpists with a song
There is a voice that echoes through the ages
Like dancers to a cadence like poets with a psalm
Fear God... give Him glory
There is Lamb crowned in pure gold
He'll come on the clouds with trumpets and shouts to gather us home
There is a Lamb white as the snow
There is a bride and she'll follow Him wherever He goes
Now is the time, the wheat is ripe for threshing
The grapes are full for treading the wedding feasts at hand
We are Your bride and we'll follow You wherever You go
We are Your bride and we'll follow You wherever You go
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
By Charles Wesley, David Crowder
O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad the honors of Thy name.
CHORUS:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, Jesus
Jesus! the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease
'Tis music in the sinner's ears, 'tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of cancelled sin, He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me.
(Chorus)
He speaks and listening to His voice new life the dead receive
The mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe
Glory to God and praise and love be now and ever given
By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven. (Chorus)
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love
So, come on… So, come on…
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love…
There is one great love…
