Call to Worship
Hebrews 12:22-29
LEADER: But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering,
ALL: and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven,
LEADER: and to God, the judge of all,
ALL: and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
LEADER: and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,
ALL: and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
Found In You
by Vertical Worship
We're reaching out to welcome You, God
Fill this place again with Your song
Flood our thoughts with wonder and awe
Give us a greater glimpse of a never changing God
CHORUS:
All we want and all we need
Are found in You, found in You
Jesus, every victory
Is found in You, found in You
Open wide, our hearts now to Yours
Every fear, bowed down to Your love
That we would see like never before
Give us a greater glimpse of a never changing God
BRIDGE:
In Your presence there is freedom
In Your presence we are made whole
In Your presence there is freedom
In Your presence we are made whole
A Christian’s Daily Prayer
by Dave Fournier, Matt Merker, and Jordan Kauflin
As morning dawns and day awakes, to You I bring my need
O gracious God, my source of strength, in You I live and breathe
Each hour is Yours by wisdom planned,
Each deed empowered by sovereign hands
Renew my spirit, help me stand; Be glorified today
As day unfolds, I seek Your will in all of life’s demands
And though the tempter tries me still, I cling to Your commands
Let every effort of my life
Display the matchless worth of Christ
Make me a living sacrifice; Be glorified today
As sun gives way to darkest night Your Spirit still is here
And though my strength fades like the light new mercies will appear
I rest in You; abide with me
Until our trials and suffering
Give way to final victory; Be glorified, today
I rest in You; abide with me
Until our trials and suffering
Give way to final victory; Be glorified, today… Be glorified, I (we) pray
Confession of Sin and Assurance of Forgiveness:
1 Peter 1:13, 22-23, 2:1,9-14
LEADER: …preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
ALL:Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
LEADER:So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
ALL:But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
LEADER:Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation. Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.
Silent Prayers
How Marvelous
By Charles Hutchinson Gabriel
I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me
A sinner, condemned, unclean
Chorus:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior's love for me!
He took my sins and my sorrows
He made them His very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
And suffered and died alone
When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me

Sermon Passage
1 Peter 3:1-7
3:1 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives- 2 when they see your respectful and pure conduct. 3 Do not let your adorning be external- the braiding of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of clothing- 4 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. 5 For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.
7 Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
LEADER: All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls...
ALL: ...but the word of the Lord remains forever. (1 Peter 1:24-25)

The Church’s One Foundation
Hal Hopson, Samuel Stone, Samuel S. Wesley; Arr: Perimeter Worship.
The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord
She is His new creation by water and the Word
From Heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride
With His Own Blood He bought her, and for her life He died
Elect from every nation, yet one o’er all the earth
Her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth
One holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food
And to one Hope she presses, with every grace endued
Hallelujah! Our salvation; Jesus Christ is our foundation
Hallelujah! Our salvation; Jesus Christ is our foundation
‘Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war
She waits the consummation of peace forevermore
Till, with the vision glorious, her longing eyes are blest
And the great church victorious shall be the church at rest
Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One
And mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won
O happy ones and holy! Lord give us grace that we
Like them the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with Thee
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
