Call to Worship
Psalm 81:1-2, 8-10
Leader: Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob!
All: Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp.
Leader: Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!
All: There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god. I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Praise the Lord Ye Heavens
Young Oceans, Harvest
Praise the Lord Ye heavens adore him
Praise him angels in the height
Sun and moon, rejoice before him
Praise him, all ye stars of light
Praise the Lord for he hath spoken
Worlds his mighty voice obeyed
Laws which never shall be broken
For their guidance he hath made
CHORUS:
All creation join the song of praise
Let every tongue declare His mighty ways
And we will sing of Your goodness and mercy all of our days
Praise the Lord for he is glorious
Never shall his promise fail
God hath made his saints victorious
Sin and death shall not prevail (Chorus)
BRIDGE:
Glory! Glory! All glory to You Lord!
Glory! Glory! All glory to You Lord!
Praise the God of our salvation
Hosts on high, his power proclaim
Heaven and earth, and all creation
Laud and magnify his Name (Chorus)
Rise My Soul, The Lord Is Risen
CityAlight
Rise my soul the Lord is risen
Come behold the empty grave
See the place where darkness laid Him
Sing for only hope remains
Hallelujah, Praise forever
Death defeated and life restored
By that great immortal power
Christ is risen, arise my soul!
Rest my soul the Lord is risen
Love’s redeeming work is done
Now the Father sees His children
As He sees His Sinless Son
O the wonder, O the glory
That same favour is now my own
Shame behind me, grace before me
Christ is risen, arise my soul!
Peace my soul, the Lord is risen
Come and have your hope renewed
For this trial is brief and fleeting
Tears will turn to glory soon
Shout with joy and sound the triumph
Let the music of heaven roar
Let the boast of death be silent
Christ is risen, arise my soul!
Rise my soul for I am risen
Seated now with Christ my Lord
As my life belongs to heaven
Fear shall hold its sway no more
[Onward, upward, t’ward the treasure
Filled with courage and endless hope
For this truth Is mine forever
Christ is risen arise my soul!] Repeat

All: "You shall not murder.
"You shall not commit adultery.
"You shall not steal.
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Leader: "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
Silent Prayers of Confession
Assurance of Forgiveness
John 6:47-51
Leader: Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
All: I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
Leader: This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.
All: I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."
Be Thou My Vision
Translated 1905 from the old Irish hymn “Bi Thusa ‘mo Shuile” by Mary E. Byrne. Arr. Ascend the Hill, 2010.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light
Be Thou my wisdom, Thou my true word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only first in my heart
High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art
BRIDGE:
Oh God, be my everything, be my delight
Be, Jesus, my glory, my soul satisfied
High King of heaven, my victory won
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's sun
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O ruler of all; Still be my vision, O ruler of all
The Lord’s Prayer and Pastoral Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sermon Passage
John 8:12-30
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." 13 So the Pharisees said to him, "You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true." 14 Jesus answered, "Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. 17 In your Law it is written that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me." 19 They said to him therefore, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also." 20 These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21 So he said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come." 22 So the Jews said, "Will he kill himself, since he says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come'?" 23 He said to them, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins." 25 So they said to him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, "Just what I have been telling you from the beginning. 26 I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him." 27 They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father. 28 So Jesus said to them, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. 29 And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him." 30 As he was saying these things, many believed in him.
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
Sermon
Pastor Terry Fox
God of Calvary
By Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin, Jonas Myrin, and Matthew James Redman
On the hill of Calvary the Light of all the world;
With the world on His shoulders
The weight of all our shame on Him who knew no sin
A holy surrender
The sky went dark; the angels wept; The Father looked away
The final breath; He bowed His head;
The Lamb of God was slain
CHORUS:
By His wounds I am set free.
By His blood I've been redeemed
The great divide He crossed for me,
Oh, praise the God of Calvary
On the hill of Calvary into His Father's hands;
A holy surrender
A borrowed tomb; His mother wept;
And there His body lay
The stone was moved; He conquered death;
And rose from the grave
And if I never, ever lose sight of this place
I will never, ever lose sight of Your grace
Your cross is all, all I need to see;
Oh, praise the God of Calvary

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
By Charles Wesley, David Crowder
O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad the honors of Thy name.
CHORUS:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, Jesus
Jesus! the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease
'Tis music in the sinner's ears, 'tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of cancelled sin, He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me.
He speaks and listening to His voice new life the dead receive
The mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe
Glory to God and praise and love be now and ever given
By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven.
Benediction
