Call to Worship
Psalm 84:1-2, 10-12
Leader: How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts!
All: My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Leader: For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.
All: I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Leader: For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
All: the LORD bestows favor and honor.
Leader: No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
All: O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!
O Worship The King All Glorious Above (Psalm 104)
by Michael Farren, By: Robert Grant (1833); Arr: Wendell Kimbrough (2014)
O worship the King all-glorious above
O gratefully sing His power and His love
Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days
Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise
O tell of His might and sing of His grace
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm
Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain
Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail
In You do we trust, nor find You to fail
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend
O measureless might, unchangeable love
Whom angels delight to worship above
Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze
In true adoration shall sing to Your praise
Jesus, Strong And Kind
CityAlight, Colin Buchanan, Michael Farren, Jonny Robinson, and Rich Thompson
Jesus said that if I thirst, I should come to Him
No one else can satisfy, I should come to Him
Jesus said if I am weak, I should come to Him
No one else can be my strength, I should come to Him
CHORUS:
For the Lord is good and faithful
He will keep us day and night
We can always run to Jesus
Jesus, strong and kind
Jesus said that if I fear I should come to Him
No one else can be my shield, I should come to Him
Jesus said if I am lost, He will come to me
And He showed me on that cross, He will come to me
Confession of Sin
Ephesians 4:17-32
Leader: Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ!- assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
All: Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Silent Prayers of Confession
Assurance of Forgiveness
Ephesians 2:13-14a; 19-22
Leader: But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
All: For he himself is our peace.
Leader: So then you are no longer strangers and aliens
All: but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
Psalm 16 (Fullness of Joy)
Shane and Shane
Preserve me, O God, for I find rest in You alone
I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord, I have no good apart from You"
All sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, my delight
Let's sing together, ”No other gods shall satisfy,” God, You satisfy
CHORUS 1:
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
You give me counsel, my heart instructs me in the night
You are before me, because You're for me I'm alright, it'll be alright
CHORUS 2:
In Your presence there is fullness of joy, joy
At Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore, forevermore
BRIDGE:
My heart is glad and my soul rejoice; My flesh it dwells secure
'Cause You put on flesh lived a blameless life, my curse on the cross You bore
Then You ripped the doors off the city of death and the chains fell to the floor
Now the serpent's crushed, it has been finished; You reign forevermore
You are my portion, my cup, and You make my lot secure
The lines have fallen, for me in pleasant places, a beautiful inheritance

Sermon Passage
Psalm 27
1 OF DAVID. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.
3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD.
7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! 8 You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, LORD, do I seek." 9 Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation! 10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.
13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades,
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

"Wait By Seeking"
Pastor Chris McLaughlin
Grace Will Prevail
Wendell Kimbrough
Grace will prevail, though the darkness is strong
And the burden weighs heavy and long
Grace will prevail, for our God is the Light
Rending the cover of night; Grace will prevail
Grace will prevail, in the valleys of shame
Where the echoes of failure remain
Grace will prevail, with the cry to the Lord
There's a mountain of mercy in store; Grace will prevail
CHORUS:
Wait for the Lord our God; Wait for the Lord our God
Wait for the Lord, our rest and reward and our peace
Grace will prevail, through the wreckage and storm
And the brokenness washed on the shore
Grace will prevail, though an ocean we cry
He is with us and weeps by our side
Till the day they forever run dry
BRIDGE:
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world

No Place Better (Psalm 84)
Caroline Cobb
How lovely is Your dwelling place
How wonderful Your presence, Lord
How my soul longs to see Your face
To come with joy into Your courts
How blessed is the little sparrow
Who makes a nest inside Your house
‘Cause I can think of no place better
To make a home and sing out loud
CHORUS:
I want to be in Your presence
I want to be near Your heart
I want to know You’re close, Even when I’m feeling far
I don’t want what this world would offer
I want the living God
‘Cause there’s no place better, Than where You are
We will go from strength to strength
Even in the wilderness
You are turning tears to desert springs
Leaving gardens in our footsteps
How blessed is the longing pilgrim
Whose heart is set on Zion’s hill
The one who knows there’s no place better
To bring our sorrows and be filled (Chorus)
BRIDGE:
One day with You, Is better than a thousand elsewhere
One word from You, Is better than silver or gold
I’d rather be; a servant in Your house, oh God
Than a king with all the riches I could hold (Chorus)
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
