Call to Worship
Psalm 104:1-9, 27-34

Leader:  Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved.
All:  You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight. The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them. You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.
Leader:  [All creatures] look to you, to give them their food in due season. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.
All:  When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
Leader:  When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
All:  May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works, who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke! I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.

O Worship The King All Glorious Above  (Psalm 104)
by Michael Farren, By: Robert Grant (1833); Arr:  Wendell Kimbrough (2014)

O worship the King all-glorious above
O gratefully sing His power and His love
Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days
Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise

O tell of His might and sing of His grace
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm

Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail
In You do we trust, nor find You to fail
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend

O measureless might, unchangeable love
Whom angels delight to worship above
Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze
In true adoration shall sing to Your praise

O Great God
Sovereign Grace Music; adapted from Valley of Vision

O great God of highest heav'n, occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain that resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me make me Yours forevermore

I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice
Did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven's joys
Then Your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your Word to me
Through the gospel of Your Son gave me endless hope and peace

Help me now to live a life that's dependent on Your grace
Keep my heart and guard my soul from the evils that I face
You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven glorify Your Name through me

You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven glorify Your Name through me

Confession of Sin
Psalm 32:1-6

Leader:  Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
All:  For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
Leader:  Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.

Silent Prayers of Confession

Assurance of Forgiveness
John 15:4-9

Leader:  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
All:  I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Leader:  If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
All:  If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Leader:  By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and Earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.*  The third day he rose again from the dead.  He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.  From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,** the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen.

* Latin Hades, which means the place of the dead.
** Holy catholic church refers to the church universal

Abide
by Aaron Williams, Aaron Keyes, Jake Fauber (2023).

For my waking breath, for my daily bread
I depend on You, I depend on You
For the sun to rise, for my sleep at night
I depend on You, I depend on You

CHORUS 1:
You're the way, the truth and the life;
You're the well that never runs dry
I'm the branch and You are the vine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide

Where the Spirit leads as I'm following
I depend on You, yes I depend on You
For the victories still in front of me
I depend on You, yes I depend on You

CHORUS 2:
You're the way, the truth and the life;
You're the well that never runs dry
I'm the branch and You are the vine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide
Be my strength, my song in the night;
Be my all, my treasure, my prize
I am Yours forever You're mine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide

When I pass through death as I enter rest
I depend on You, I depend on You
For eternal life to be raised with Christ
I depend on You, I depend on You

ENDING:
I depend on You, I depend on You
I depend on You, I depend on You

Psalm 121

1  A SONG OF ASCENTS.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?  2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.  4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.  6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.  8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Sovereign Grace Music

Saints and servants, hosts of heaven
All creation, Praise the name of the Lord!
Night and morning, sing His glory, now and forevermore

Earthly kingdoms, all dominions
Bow before Him, Praise the name of the Lord!
None as holy, none as worthy, now and forevermore

CHORUS 1:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?

Our Lord Jesus wore our weakness
To redeem us, Praise the name of the Lord!
In His kindness He will keep us now and forevermore

CHORUS 2:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?
Raised us from the ashes, He has turned our grief to gladness
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?

High and holy, meek and lowly, There is no one like You
Our Messiah, here beside us, There is no one like You

CHORUS 3:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?
Raised us from the ashes, He has turned our grief to gladness
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?
There is no one like our God!  There is no one like our God!
