Call to Worship
Isaiah 6:1-4

Leader:  In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up;
All:  and the train of his robe filled the temple.
Leader:  Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said:
All:  "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!"
Leader:  And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.

Prayer of Adoration

All Hail The Power Of Jesusʼ Name
By: Edward Perronet, Oliver Holden

All hail the power of Jesusʼ Name   Let angels prostrate fall
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all

Ye chosen seed of Israelʼs race, ye ransomed from the fall
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all

Let every kindred, every tribe on this terrestrial ball
To Him all majesty ascribe and crown Him Lord of all
To Him all majesty ascribe and crown Him Lord of all

O that, with yonder sacred throng, we at His feet may fall
Weʼll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all
Weʼll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all

Be Strong and Courageous
By: Collin Buchanan

CHORUS:
Be strong and courageous;  The Lord of the Ages
Holds all His little ones safe by His side
Be strong and courageous;  The Lord of the Ages
Holds all His little ones safe

Do not fear the fire
Do not fear the waters
Do not fear the thunder
Jesus has conquered them all

Do not fear the darkness
Do not fear the sadness
Do not fear the sickness
Jesus has conquered them all

Do not fear the enemy
Do not fear the poverty
Do not fear eternity
Jesus has conquered them all

Confession of Sin
Isaiah 6:5

Leader:  And I said:
All:  "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"

Our Confession
† Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Forgiveness
Isaiah 6:6-7; Titus 3:4-7

Leader:  Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.  And he touched my mouth and said:
All:  “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
Leader:  When the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,
All:  he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Abide
by Aaron Williams, Aaron Keyes, Jake Fauber (2023).

For my waking breath, for my daily bread
I depend on You, I depend on You
For the sun to rise, for my sleep at night
I depend on You, I depend on You

CHORUS 1:
You're the way, the truth and the life;
You're the well that never runs dry
I'm the branch and You are the vine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide

Where the Spirit leads as I'm following
I depend on You, yes I depend on You
For the victories still in front of me
I depend on You, yes I depend on You

CHORUS 2:
You're the way, the truth and the life;
You're the well that never runs dry
I'm the branch and You are the vine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide
Be my strength, my song in the night;
Be my all, my treasure, my prize
I am Yours forever You're mine;
Draw me close and teach me to abide

When I pass through death as I enter rest
I depend on You, I depend on You
For eternal life to be raised with Christ
I depend on You, I depend on You

ENDING:
I depend on You, I depend on You
I depend on You, I depend on You

Sermon Passage
John 9:1-7  (ESV)

1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.  2 And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"  3 Jesus answered, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.  4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.  5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."  6 Having said these things, he spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud  7 and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

Leader:  The grass withers, the flower fades,
All:  ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

This Is My Father’s World
By: Maltbie D. Babcock (1901); Arr: Mission House (2023)

This is my Father's world and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings, the music of the spheres
This is my Father's world; I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas
His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world, the birds their carols raise
The morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker's praise
This is my Father's world; He shines in all that's fair
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass
He speaks to me everywhere

This is my Father's world, O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet
This is my Father's world; Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!

This is my Father's world; Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad
