Call to Worship
Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 130:3-6

Leader:  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
All:  I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

O Worship The King All Glorious Above  (Psalm 104)
by Michael Farren, By: Robert Grant (1833); Arr:  Wendell Kimbrough (2014)

O worship the King all-glorious above
O gratefully sing His power and His love
Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days
Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise

O tell of His might and sing of His grace
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm

Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain
And sweetly distills in the dew and the rain

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail
In You do we trust, nor find You to fail
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend

O measureless might, unchangeable love
Whom angels delight to worship above
Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze
In true adoration shall sing to Your praise

Christ Our Hope In Life And Death
by Keith Getty, Matt Boswell, Jordan Kauflin, Matt Merker, Matt Papa

What is our hope in life and death? Christ alone, Christ alone
What is our only confidence? That our souls to Him belong
Who holds our days within His hand?
What comes, apart from His command?
And what will keep us to the end?
The love of Christ, in which we stand

CHORUS:
O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death

What truth can calm the troubled soul? God is good, God is good
Where is His grace and goodness known? In our great Redeemer’s blood
Who holds our faith when fears arise? Who stands above the stormy trial?
Who sends the waves that bring us nigh, unto the shore, the rock of Christ?

Unto the grave, what shall we sing? “Christ, He lives; Christ, He lives!”
And what reward will heaven bring? Everlasting life with Him
There we will rise to meet the Lord, then sin and death will be destroyed,
And we will feast in endless joy, when Christ is ours forevermore

Now and ever we confess, Christ our hope in life and death

Confession of Sin
Acts 4:5-12

Leader:  On the next day their rulers and elders and scribes gathered together in Jerusalem, with Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly family. And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, "By what power or by what name did you do this?" Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders, if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead- by him this man is standing before you well.
All:  This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

O Great God
Sovereign Grace Music; adapted from Valley of Vision

O great God of highest heav'n, occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain that resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me make me Yours forevermore

I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice
Did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven's joys
Then Your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your Word to me
Through the gospel of Your Son gave me endless hope and peace

Help me now to live a life that's dependent on Your grace
Keep my heart and guard my soul from the evils that I face
You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven glorify Your Name through me

You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven glorify Your Name through me

Sermon Passage
John 9:35-10:10

35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"  36 He answered, "And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?"  37 Jesus said to him, "You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you."  38 He said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.  39 Jesus said, "For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind."  40 Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, "Are we also blind?"  41 Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.
10:1 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.  2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.  4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.  5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."  6 This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
7 So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.  8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.  9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.  10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Leader:  The grass withers, the flower fades,
All:  ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

Shepherd
CityAlight

Though I walk through the valley and I can’t see the way
When the shadows surround me, I will not be afraid
For I know You are with me, You will always provide
Though the path may be lonely, You will stay by my side

I will rest my soul
I’ll trust in You alone

CHORUS:
For the Lord my Shepherd leads me, leads me
And He is all I need
In the darkest valley, I know, I know
My Shepherd is all I need

Lord I know that You seek me when I’m trying to hide
And Your love it pursues me all the days of my life

BRIDGE:
I rest my soul in You alone
You light my way, You lead me on.

Who Is Like The Lord (Psalm 113)
Sovereign Grace Music

Saints and servants, hosts of heaven
All creation, Praise the name of the Lord!
Night and morning, sing His glory, now and forevermore

Earthly kingdoms, all dominions
Bow before Him, Praise the name of the Lord!
None as holy, none as worthy, now and forevermore

CHORUS 1:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?

Our Lord Jesus wore our weakness
To redeem us, Praise the name of the Lord!
In His kindness He will keep us now and forevermore

CHORUS 2:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?
Raised us from the ashes, He has turned our grief to gladness
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?

BRIDGE:
High and holy, meek and lowly, There is no one like You
Our Messiah, here beside us, There is no one like You

CHORUS 3:
Crowned with adoration, He is high above the nations
Who is like the Lord our God?
Raised us from the ashes, He has turned our grief to gladness
Who is like the Lord our God?  Who is like the Lord our God?
There is no one like our God!  There is no one like our God!
