Call to Worship
Psalm 81:1-3,8-10
Leader: Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob!
All: Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp. Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
Leader: Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!
All: There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god.
Leader: I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Crown Him With Many Crowns
By Matthew Bridges (1851); Godfrey Thring (1871)
Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity
Crown Him the Lord of life who triumphed over the grave
Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save
His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die
Crown Him the Lord of love, behold His hands and side
Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight
But downward bends his burning eye at mysteries so bright
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity
We Are Yours Forever
By: Keaton Bunting, Bob Kauflin, and David Zimmer (2024)
O God, when You spoke into darkness
And said, “Let there be,” and it was
You made us the crown of creation to share in Your love
And when we rejected Your goodness
To follow our foolish desires
You knew that one day You’d redeem us through one sacrifice
CHORUS:
Oh, what a love You have lavished on us
To call us Your children, daughters and sons
One with the Savior, bought by His blood. We are Yours forever
By grace You have made us Your family
We’re kept in Your kindness and care
With boldness we know we can bring You each burden we bear
And though we are longing to see You
Your Spirit within testifies
That we are adopted and treasured 'til faith becomes sight
BRIDGE:
What now can separate us from the hope You gave us
We will be like Christ our King we are Yours forever
Confession of Sin
1 Peter 3:8-12
Leader: Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
All: Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
Leader: For "Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.
All: For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
Our Confession
† Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Forgiveness
1 Peter 3:18-22
Leader: For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.
All: Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
Grace
By CityAlight
Your grace that leads this sinner home
From death to life forever
And sings the song of righteousness
By blood and not by merit
Your grace that reaches far and wide
To every tribe and nation
Has called my heart to enter in
The joy of Your salvation
CHORUS:
By grace I am redeemed; By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk into the arms of Christ my Lord
Your grace that I cannot explain
Not by my earthly wisdom
The Prince of life, without a stain
Was traded for this sinner
Let praise rise up and overflow
My song resound forever
For grace will see me welcomed home
To walk beside my Savior
Heidelberg Catechism – Question 1
Leader: What is your only comfort in life and in death?
All: That I am not my own, but belong—body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has delivered me from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, also assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.

Sermon Passage
Exodus 2:1-25
1 Now a man from the house of Levi went and took as his wife a Levite woman. 2 The woman conceived and bore a son, and when she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months. 3 When she could hide him no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushes and daubed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the river bank. 4 And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him. 5 Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant woman, and she took it. 6 When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby was crying. She took pity on him and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children." 7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and call you a nurse from the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?" 8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go." So the girl went and called the child's mother. 9 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages." So the woman took the child and nursed him. 10 When the child grew up, she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, "Because," she said, "I drew him out of the water."
11 One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their burdens, and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people. 12 He looked this way and that, and seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 When he went out the next day, behold, two Hebrews were struggling together. And he said to the man in the wrong, "Why do you strike your companion?" 14 He answered, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid, and thought, "Surely the thing is known." 15 When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by a well.
16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. 17 The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock. 18 When they came home to their father Reuel, he said, "How is it that you have come home so soon today?" 19 They said, "An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds and even drew water for us and watered the flock." 20 He said to his daughters, "Then where is he? Why have you left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread." 21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter Zipporah. 22 She gave birth to a son, and he called his name Gershom, for he said, "I have been a sojourner in a foreign land."
23 During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 God saw the people of Israel- and God knew.

His Mercy is More

CHORUS:
Praise the Lord. His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn’
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
What love could remember, no wrongs we have done
Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

The Lord's Become Our Salvation (Psalm 118)
by Wendell Kimbrough
Out of my distress I called out for help
And the Lord came quickly to save me
Praise our God most high, He is on my side
For the Lord's become my salvation
Open up the gate where the righteous wait
To behold the face of their Savior
I am welcomed in by my Lord and friend
For the Lord's become my salvation
CHORUS:
Oh, give thanks to the Lord
For His never-ending love
We will celebrate what He's done this day
For the Lord's become our salvation
For the Lord's become our salvation
Now the stone ignored by the strong and proud
Has become the Church's foundation
Let the weak give praise for this gift of grace
For the Lord's become our salvation
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
