Call to Worship
Psalm 65:1-4

Leader:  Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord needs them,' and he will send them at once." This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying, "Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.'" The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting,
All:  "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"
Leader:  And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, "Who is this?"  And the crowds said,
All:  "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."

Prayer of Adoration and Invocation

Come Behold (Psalm 46)
Thief to King

CHORUS:
Come behold the wondrous works
Of the Lord Who reigns on high
Oh, be still and know that He is God
Our fortress He will be

God is our refuge and our strength, a very present aid
Therefore, although the earth gives way we will not be afraid
Though mountains move into the sea, though waters rage and foam
Although the hills may quake and fall, our hope is in the Lord

The nations rage and kingdoms move, their plotting is in vain
They all shall tremble at the voice of God above who reigns
Great desolation to the earth, He turns the wars to peace
He breaks the bow and shatters spear, all chariots to cease

All the glory to His name
O exalted He shall be
O be still and know that He is God
Our fortress He will be
Our fortress He will be
Our fortress He will be

Christ is Mine Forevermore
CityAlight

Mine are days that God has numbered
I was made to walk with Him
Yet I look for worldly treasure
And forsake the King of kings
But mine is hope in my Redeemer
Though I fall, His love is sure
For Christ has paid for every failing
I am His forevermore

Mine are tears in times of sorrow
Darkness not yet understood
Through the valley I must travel
Where I see no earthly good
But mine is peace that flows from Heaven
And the strength in times of need
I know my pain will not be wasted
Christ completes His work in me

Mine are days here as a stranger
Pilgrim on a narrow way
One with Christ I will encounter
Harm and hatred for His name
But mine is armor for this battle
Strong enough to last the war
And He has said He will deliver
Safely to the golden shore
And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore

Come rejoice now, O my soul
For His love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure
Christ is mine forevermore

And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore (Repeat 2X)

Confession of Sin
Exodus 20:2-17

Leader:  "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
All:  "You shall have no other gods before me.
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Leader:  "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
All:  "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Leader:  "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
All:  "You shall not murder.  You shall not commit adultery.  You shall not steal.  You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Leader:  "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."

Our Confession
† Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Forgiveness
1 Corinthians 1:18, 5:7-8

Leader:  For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing,
All:  but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Leader:  For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
All:  Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

How Sweet and Aweful Is the Place
Isaac Watts (1707)

How sweet and aweful is the place, With Christ within the doors
While everlasting love displays, The choicest of her stores

While all our hearts and all our songs, Join to admire the feast
Each of us cry with thankful tongues, “Lord, why was I a guest?”

“Why was I made to hear Thy voice, And enter while there’s room
When thousands make a wretched choice, And rather starve than come?”

’Twas the same love that spread the feast, That sweetly drew us in
Else we had still refused to taste, And perished in our sin

Pity the nations, O our God, Constrain the earth to come
Send Thy victorious Word abroad, And bring the strangers home

We long to see Thy churches full, That all the chosen race
May with one voice and heart and soul, Sing Thy redeeming grace

Behold the Lamb of God
Andrew Peterson, 2004.

We who walk in darkness deep
Now see the light of morning
The Mighty God, the Prince of Peace
A child to us is born

CHORUS:
Behold, the Lamb of God
Who takes away our sin
Behold, the Lamb of God
The life and light of men
Behold, the Lamb of God
Who died and rose again
Behold the Lamb of God who comes
To take away our sin

Wanderers in the wilderness
O hear a voice is crying
Prepare the way, make straight the path
Your King has come to die

BRIDGE:
Son of God (Emmanuel)
Son of Man (We praise You)
Behold (Behold) the Lamb
The hope (the hope) of man
Behold the Lamb

No Place Better (Psalm 84)
Caroline Cobb

How lovely is Your dwelling place
How wonderful Your presence, Lord
How my soul longs to see Your face
To come with joy into Your courts
How blessed is the little sparrow
Who makes a nest inside Your house
‘Cause I can think of no place better
To make a home and sing out loud

CHORUS:
I want to be in Your presence
I want to be near Your heart
I want to know You’re close, Even when I’m feeling far
I don’t want what this world would offer
I want the living God
‘Cause there’s no place better, Than where You are

We will go from strength to strength
Even in the wilderness
You are turning tears to desert springs
Leaving gardens in our footsteps
How blessed is the longing pilgrim
Whose heart is set on Zion’s hill
The one who knows there’s no place better
To bring our sorrows and be filled (Chorus)

BRIDGE:
One day with You, Is better than a thousand elsewhere
One word from You, Is better than silver or gold
I’d rather be; a servant in Your house, oh God
Than a king with all the riches I could hold (Chorus)

Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
