Call to Worship
Isaiah 63:7-14
Leader: I will recount the steadfast love of the LORD, the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has granted us, and the great goodness to the house of Israel that he has granted them according to his compassion, according to the abundance of his steadfast love. For he said, “Surely they are my people, children who will not deal falsely.” And he became their Savior.
All: In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
Leader: But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them. Then he remembered the days of old, of Moses and his people. Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put in the midst of them his Holy Spirit, who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them to make for himself an everlasting name, who led them through the depths?
All: Like a horse in the desert, they did not stumble. Like livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name.
Prayer: Your steadfast love never ceases! From beginning to end, your love for your people is evident. Gathered together, we remember and sing of your great love today. Amen.
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
By Charles Wesley, David Crowder
O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad the honors of Thy name.
Chorus 1:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, Jesus
Jesus! the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease
'Tis music in the sinner's ears, 'tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of cancelled sin, He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me.
Chorus 2:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, there is one great love, Jesus
He speaks and listening to His voice new life the dead receive
The mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe
Glory to God and praise and love be now and ever given
By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven.
Chorus 3:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, there is one great love, Jesus Jesus
Bridge:
There are so few words that never grow old
There are so few words that never grow old
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love
So, come on… So, come on…
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love…
There is one great love…
There is one great love, Jesus

When the darkness overwhelms and my fears are pressing in
I will trust in You, oh, Lord, in the silence I will wait
I will stand upon Your Word
Chorus 1:
You're my solid rock and my salvation
My steadfast hope that won't be shaken
My soul will wait, my soul will wait for You

Though the wicked never yield they will vanish like a breath
Yes, I know the outcome's sure, Satan’s evil plans will fail
In Your power I'm secure
Chorus 2:
You're my solid rock and my salvation
My steadfast hope that won't be shaken
My soul will wait, my soul will wait for You

This is love, I can't explain, this is mercy unreserved
Through Your sacrifice so great I have peace that's undeserved
For the battle has been won and I fear no shame or loss
Now the sting of death is gone
Chorus 3:
You're my solid rock and my salvation

Confession of Our Sin
Psalm 4:1-8
Leader: Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!
All: We have turned your honor into shame. We have loved vain words and sought after lies.
Prayer of Confession followed by Silent Prayers
God’s Assurance of Forgiveness
Romans 8:38-39
Leader: The LORD has set apart his people for himself as the objects of his faithful and steadfast love. We are his joy; his delight. The LORD hears when we call to him. Put your trust in the LORD.
All: In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Man Of Sorrows
Hillsong Worship
Man of sorrows, Lamb of God, by His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God has been on Jesus laid
Silent as He stood accused, beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father’s will, He took a crown of thorns
Chorus:
Oh, that rugged cross, my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, “Hallelujah!”
Praise and honor unto Thee
Sent of heaven, God’s own Son, to purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones who nailed Him to that tree
Bridge:
Now my debt is paid, it is paid in full
By the precious blood that my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin has no hold on me
Who the Son sets free, oh is free indeed
See the stone is rolled away, behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah, God be praised! He’s risen from the grave

Sermon Passage
Ephesians 4:25-32
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Pastor: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever.

The Church’s One Foundation
Words by Samuel Stone, 1866. Music by Brian Moss, ©1996 Parson John Publishing (ASCAP).
The Church’s one foundation, Is Jesus Christ her Lord,
She is His new creation, By water and the Word :
From Heaven He came and sought her, To be His holy Bride,
With His Own Blood He bought her, And for her life He died.
Elect from every nation, Yet one o’er all the earth,
Her charter of salvation, One Lord, one Faith, one Birth,
One Holy Name she blesses, Partakes one Holy Food,
And to one Hope she presses, With every grace endued.
Though with a scornful wonder we see her sore oppressed
By schisms rent asunder, by heresies distressed
Yet saints their watch are keeping, their cry goes up, “How long?”
And soon the night of weeping shall be the morn of song
Yet she on earth hath union, With God the Three in One,
And mystic sweet communion, With those whose rest is won;
O happy ones and holy, Lord give us grace that we
Like them the meek and lowly, On high may dwell with Thee.

All My Ways Are Known to You
CityAlight
In days of peace and days of rest
In times of loss and loneliness
Though rich or poor, Your word is true
That all my ways are known to You
No trial has come beyond Your hand
No step I walk beyond Your plan
The path is dark outside my view
Still all my ways are known to You
Chorus:
And oh what peace that I have found wherever I may be
For all my ways are known to You Hallelujah, they are known to You!
I do not fear the final night
For death will be the door to life
You take my hand and lead me through
For all my ways are known to You
Bridge:
Open up my eyes so I may see
That You have made these ways for me
Open up my eyes so I may see
That You my God, will walk with me
