Call to Worship
Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 90:1-6
Leader: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
All: Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Leader: Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You return man to dust and say,
All: "Return, O children of man!" For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.
Leader: You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning:
All: In the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers.
Prayer of Adoration
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
By Charles Wesley, David Crowder
O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad the honors of Thy name.
Chorus 1:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, Jesus
Jesus! the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease
'Tis music in the sinner's ears, 'tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of cancelled sin, He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me.
Chorus 2:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, there is one great love, Jesus
He speaks and listening to His voice new life the dead receive
The mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe
Glory to God and praise and love be now and ever given
By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven.
Chorus 3:
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love, there is one great love, Jesus Jesus
Bridge:
There are so few words that never grow old
There are so few words that never grow old
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love
So, come on… So, come on…
So, come on and sing out, let our anthem grow loud
There is one great love…
There is one great love…
There is one great love, Jesus
Come, Ye Sinners
Joseph Hart, Robbie Seay Band
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore
Jesus ready stands to save you full of pity, love, and power
Come, ye thirsty; come and welcome, God’s free bounty glorify
True belief and true repentance, every grace that brings you nigh
Chorus:
I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in His arms
In the arms of my dear Savior
Oh, there are ten thousand charms
Come, ye weary, heavy laden, lost and ruined by the fall
If you tarry till you’re better, you will never come at all
Lo! The incarnate God ascended pleads the merit of His blood
Venture on Him, venture wholly; Let no other trust intrude
Prayer of Confession
Psalm 90:8-13
All: You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. For all our days pass away under your wrath; we bring our years to an end like a sigh.
Leader: The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?
All: So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!
God’s Assurance of Forgiveness
Psalm 90:14-17
Leader: Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
All: Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil.
Leader: Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.
All: Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!
Blessed Assurance

All my attempts to be satisfied were vain and empty
Until the moment You rescued me and Your love filled me
My soul sings, now my soul sings
Chorus:
What blessed assurance I've found in You, I've found in You
I won't be shaken, I will not be moved
How steadfast Your strong hand is keeping me, is keeping me
I won't be shaken, I will not be moved
Oh, blessed assurance
No other love that I've ever known compares to You, God
No other love that I've ever found has done what You've done
My soul sings, now my soul sings
Bridge:
Ever my anchor, ever my strength
Ever my portion and all I need
Ever my healing, ever my hope
Ever the truth that leads me home
That leads me home

Sermon Passage
Luke 15:11-32
11 And he said, "There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.' And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything. 17 "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants."'
20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' 22 But the father said to his servants, 'Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.' And they began to celebrate.
25 "Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.' 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, 'Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!' 31 And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.'”

Hold Thou My Hand
Lyrics: Fanny Crosby, 1874; Music: Nathan Partain, 2015
Hold Thou my hand; so weak I am and helpless
I dare not take one step without Thy aid
Hold Thou my hand, for then, O loving Savior
No dread of ill shall make my soul afraid
Hold Thou my hand and closer, draw me closer
To Thy dear self, my hope, my joy, my all
Hold Thou my hand, lest happily I should wander
And missing Thee, my trembling feet should fall
Hold Thou my hand; the way is dark before me
Without the sunlight of Thy face divine
But when by faith I catch its radiant glory
What heights of joy, what rapturous songs are mine
Hold Thou my hand, that when I reach the margin
Of that lone river Thou didst cross for me
A heavenly light may flash along its waters
And every wave like crystal bright shall be
Hold Thou my hand; so weak I am and helpless
I dare not take one step without Thy aid
I dare not take one step without Thy aid

King of Love
Henry Williams Baker. arr. I Am They
The King of love my Shepherd is whose goodness faileth never
I nothing lack if I am His and He is mine forever, and He is mine forever
Where streams of living water flow my ransomed soul He leadeth
And where the verdant pastures grow with food celestial feedeth
CHORUS:
Never failing ruler of my heart
Everlasting lover of my soul
On the mountain high or in the valley low
The King of love my Shepherd is
The King of love my Shepherd is
Lost and foolish oft I strayed but yet in love He sought me
And on His shoulder gently laid and home, rejoicing, brought me
In death's dark vale I fear no ill with Thee, dear Lord, beside me
Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me
BRIDGE:
Oh——— Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Oh——— Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
And so through all the length of days, Thy goodness faileth never
Good Shepherd, may I sing Your praise within Your house forever. Within Your house forever
Benediction
