Praise the Lord Ye Heavens
Young Oceans, Harvest

Praise the Lord Ye heavens adore him
Praise him angels in the height
Sun and moon, rejoice before him
Praise him, all ye stars of light

Praise the Lord for he hath spoken
Worlds his mighty voice obeyed
Laws which never shall be broken
For their guidance he hath made

CHORUS:
All creation join the song of praise
Let every tongue declare His mighty ways
And we will sing of Your goodness and mercy all of our days

Praise the Lord for he is glorious
Never shall his promise fail
God hath made his saints victorious
Sin and death shall not prevail (CHORUS)

Glory! Glory! All glory to You Lord!

Praise the God of our salvation
Hosts on high, his power proclaim
Heaven and earth, and all creation
Laud and magnify his Name (CHORUS)

Call to Worship
Psalm 110

A PSALM OF DAVID.
Leader:  The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool."

All:  The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!

Leader:  Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.

All:  The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."

Leader:  The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.

All:  He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth.

Leader:  He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

Prayer of Adoration

All Creatures Of Our God And King
By St. Francis of Assisi (1225); Translated by William H. Draper; Arr: David Crowder

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him, alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sound in heaven along
O praise Him, alleluia
Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him, alleluia
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in One
O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Ending:
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Prayer of Confession
Leviticus 8:14-15,34-36

Leader:  Then he brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering. And he killed it, and Moses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it.

All:  As has been done today, the LORD has commanded to be done to make atonement for you. At the entrance of the tent of meeting you shall remain day and night for seven days, performing what the LORD has charged, so that you do not die, for so I have been commanded."

Leader:  And Aaron and his sons did all the things that the LORD commanded by Moses.

Silent Prayers

God’s Assurance of Forgiveness
Hebrews 7:11-12, 26-28

Leader:  Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.

All:  For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.  He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.

Leader:  For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.

His Mercy is More

CHORUS:
Praise the Lord.  His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness.  New every morn’
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What love could remember, no wrongs we have done
Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

Sermon Passage
Genesis 14:1-24

In the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,  2 these kings made war with Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).  3 And all these joined forces in the Valley of Siddim ( that is, the Salt Sea).  4 Twelve years they had served Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.  5 In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and defeated the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,  6 and the Horites in their hill country of Seir as far as El-paran on the border of the wilderness.  7 Then they turned back and came to En-mishpat (that is, Kadesh) and defeated all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites who were dwelling in Hazazon-tamar.

8 Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) went out, and they joined battle in the Valley of Siddim  9 with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, four kings against five.  10 Now the Valley of Siddim was full of bitumen pits, and as the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some fell into them, and the rest fled to the hill country.  11 So the enemy took all the possessions of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way.  12 They also took Lot, the son of Abram's brother, who was dwelling in Sodom, and his possessions, and went their way.

13 Then one who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew, who was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and of Aner. These were allies of Abram.  14 When Abram heard that his kinsman had been taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, 318 of them, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.  15 And he divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them and pursued them to Hobah, north of Damascus.  16 Then he brought back all the possessions, and also brought back his kinsman Lot with his possessions, and the women and the people.

17 After his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).  18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (He was priest of God Most High.)  19 And he blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;  20 and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!" And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.  21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, but take the goods for yourself."  22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have lifted my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,  23 that I would not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.'  24 I will take nothing but what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me. Let Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre take their share."

Pastor:  The grass withers and the flower fades...
All:  ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

King of Love
Henry Williams Baker. arr. I Am They.

The King of love my Shepherd is whose goodness faileth never
I nothing lack if I am His and He is mine forever, and He is mine forever

Where streams of living water flow my ransomed soul He leadeth
And where the verdant pastures grow with food celestial feedeth

CHORUS:
Never failing ruler of my heart
Everlasting lover of my soul
On the mountain high or in the valley low
The King of love my Shepherd is
The King of love my Shepherd is

Lost and foolish oft I strayed but yet in love He sought me
And on His shoulder gently laid and home, rejoicing, brought me

In death's dark vale I fear no ill with Thee, dear Lord, beside me
Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me

Oh——— Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Oh——— Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

And so through all the length of days, Thy goodness faileth never
Good Shepherd, may I sing Your praise within Your house forever.  Within Your house forever
