Call to Worship
Revelation 5:1-5

Leader:  Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, "Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals."

Prayer of Adoration

All Hail The Power Of Jesusʼ Name
By: Edward Perronet, Oliver Holden;  Arr: Jaron Kamin

All hail the power of Jesusʼ Name
Let angels prostrate fall
Bring forth the royal diadem
and crown Him Lord of all
Bring forth the royal diadem
and crown Him Lord of all

Ye chosen seed of Israelʼs race
ye ransomed from the fall
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all

Let every kindred, every tribe
on this terrestrial ball
To Him all majesty ascribe
and crown Him Lord of all
To Him all majesty ascribe
and crown Him Lord of all

O that, with yonder sacred throng
we at His feet may fall
Weʼll join the everlasting song
and crown Him Lord of all
Weʼll join the everlasting song
and crown Him Lord of all

Jesus, Strong And Kind

Jesus said that if I thirst, I should come to Him
No one else can satisfy, I should come to Him

Jesus said if I am weak, I should come to Him
No one else can be my strength, I should come to Him

CHORUS:
For the Lord is good and faithful
He will keep us day and night
We can always run to Jesus
Jesus, strong and kind

Jesus said that if I fear I should come to Him
No one else can be my shield, I should come to Him

Jesus said if I am lost, He will come to me
And He showed me on that cross, He will come to me

Confession of Sin
Exodus 32:1-6

Leader:  When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him,
All:  "Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him."
Leader:  So Aaron said to them, "Take off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me." So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said,
All:  "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!"
Leader:  When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made proclamation and said, "Tomorrow shall be a feast to the LORD." And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.

Assurance of Forgiveness
Revelation 5:6-14

Leader:  And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
All:  And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth."
Leader:  Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,
All:  "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
Leader:  And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
All:  "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"
Leader:  And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Christ Our Hope In Life And Death
by Keith Getty, Matt Boswell, Jordan Kauflin, Matt Merker, Matt Papa

What is our hope in life and death? Christ alone, Christ alone
What is our only confidence? That our souls to Him belong
Who holds our days within His hand?
What comes, apart from His command?
And what will keep us to the end?
The love of Christ, in which we stand

CHORUS:
O sing hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal
O sing hallelujah! Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death

What truth can calm the troubled soul? God is good, God is good
Where is His grace and goodness known? In our great Redeemer’s blood
Who holds our faith when fears arise? Who stands above the stormy trial?
Who sends the waves that bring us nigh, unto the shore, the rock of Christ?

Unto the grave, what shall we sing? “Christ, He lives; Christ, He lives!”
And what reward will heaven bring? Everlasting life with Him
There we will rise to meet the Lord, then sin and death will be destroyed,
And we will feast in endless joy, when Christ is ours forevermore

Sermon Passage
Psalm 96

1  Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth!  2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.  3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!  4 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.  5 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens.  6 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength!  8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts!  9 Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!
10 Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity."
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it;  12 let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy  13 before the LORD, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.

Leader:  All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass.  The grass withers, and the flower falls...
All:  ...but the word of the Lord remains forever.  (1 Peter 1:24-25)

How Great Thou Art
1885 Carl Boberg. 1949 Stuart K. Hine. 2018 Shane and Shane.

Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

CHORUS:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin (Chorus)

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art (Chorus)

The Lord’s Supper

Come Behold (Psalm 46)
Thief to King

CHORUS:
Come behold the wondrous works
Of the Lord Who reigns on high
Oh, be still and know that He is God
Our fortress He will be

God is our refuge and our strength, a very present aid
Therefore, although the earth gives way we will not be afraid
Though mountains move into the sea, though waters rage and foam
Although the hills may quake and fall, our hope is in the Lord

The nations rage and kingdoms move, their plotting is in vain
They all shall tremble at the voice of God above who reigns
Great desolation to the earth, He turns the wars to peace
He breaks the bow and shatters spear, all chariots to cease

All the glory to His name
O exalted He shall be
O be still and know that He is God
Our fortress He will be
Our fortress He will be
Our fortress He will be

Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
