Call to Worship
Psalm 145:1-9

A SONG OF PRAISE. OF DAVID.

Leader:  I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.
All:  Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.
Leader:  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
All:  One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
Leader:  The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
All:  The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.

Prayer of Adoration

Psalm 116 (I Love You, Lord)
By Mission House

I love you, Lord, for You have delivered me
I love you, Lord, for You have delivered…

CHORUS:
My soul from death, my feet from stumbling
I will walk in the land of the living
My soul from death, my feet from stumbling
I will walk in the land of the living

I will bless You, Lord, for You heard my cry
I reached out my hand and You saved my life
I will bless You, Lord, for You heard my plea
And the God of Heaven turned His ear to me

I will bless You, Lord, for unending love
For Your grace and mercy raining down from above
I will bless You, Lord, to the very end
I will call on You as long as I may live

Grace Will Prevail
Wendell Kimbrough

Grace will prevail, though the darkness is strong
And the burden weighs heavy and long
Grace will prevail, for our God is the Light
Rending the cover of night; Grace will prevail

Grace will prevail, in the valleys of shame
Where the echoes of failure remain
Grace will prevail, with the cry to the Lord
There's a mountain of mercy in store; Grace will prevail

CHORUS:
Wait for the Lord our God; Wait for the Lord our God
Wait for the Lord, our rest and reward and our peace

Grace will prevail, through the wreckage and storm
And the brokenness washed on the shore
Grace will prevail, though an ocean we cry
He is with us and weeps by our side
Till the day they forever run dry

BRIDGE:
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world, He has overcome
Take heart, he has overcome the world

Confession of Sin
1 John 1:5-10

Leader:  This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you,
All:  that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Leader:  If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness,
All:  we lie and do not practice the truth.
Leader:  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
All:  we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Leader:  If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
All:  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Leader:  If we say we have not sinned,
All:  we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Silent Prayers

Assurance of Forgiveness
Psalm 18:1-20

Leader:  I love you, O LORD, my strength.
All:  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Leader:  I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
All:  He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.
Leader:  He brought me out into a broad place;
All:  he rescued me, because he delighted in me.

On Christ The Solid Rock
By Edward Mote (1834)

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly lean on Jesus' name

CHORUS:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

When darkness veils His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
in every high and stormy gale
my anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, His blood
support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay

When He shall come with trumpet sound
O may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
faultless to stand before the throne

Sermon Passage
John 2:23 - 3:15

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.  18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.  19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.  20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been carried out in God.

Leader:  The grass withers, the flower fades,
All:  but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

His Mercy is More
ASCAP Publisher Number: 160234 // ASCAP Writer Number:  1721724 (Matt Papa).

CHORUS:
Praise the Lord.  His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness.  New every morn’
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What love could remember, no wrongs we have done
Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more

The Lord’s Prayer
Arrangement: Matt Maher

Father, let Your Kingdom come, Father, let Your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven right here in my heart
Father, let Your Kingdom come, Father, let Your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven right here in my heart

Give us this day, our daily bread; Forgive us, forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sin against us, forgive them
And lead us not into temptation, but deliv - er us from the еvil one
Let Your Kingdom come

It's Yours, it's Yours, all Yours, all Yours
The Kingdom, the power, the glory are Yours
It's Yours, it's Yours, all Yours, all Yours
Forever and ever, the Kingdom is Yours
It's Yours (It's Yours), it's Yours (It's Yours)
All Yours (All Yours), all Yours (All Yours)
The Kingdom (The Kingdom), the power (The power), the glory are Yours
It's Yours (It's Yours), it's Yours (It's Yours)
All Yours (All Yours), all Yours (All Yours)
Forever (Forever) and ever (And ever), the Kingdom is Yours
