Call to Worship
Isaiah 55:1-3
Leader: Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live;
All: and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
Prayer of Adoration
By Faith
By Keith and Kristyn Getty
By faith we see the hand of God
In the light of creation’s grand design
In the lives of those who prove His faithfulness
Who walk by faith and not by sight
By faith our fathers roamed the earth
With the power of His promise in their hearts
Of a holy city built by God’s own hand
A place where peace and justice reign
Chorus:
We will stand as children of the promise
We will fix eyes on Him, our soul’s reward
‘Till the race is finished and the work is done
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight
By faith the prophets saw a day
When the longed-for Messiah would appear
With the power to break the chains of sin and death
And rise triumphant from the grave
By faith the church was called to go
In the power of the Spirit to the lost
To deliver captives and to preach good news
In every corner of the earth (Chorus)
By faith this mountain shall be moved
And the power of the gospel shall prevail
For we know in Christ all things are possible
For all who call upon His name (Chorus)
There Is One Gospel
By: CityAlight
There is one Gospel on which I stand, for all eternity
It is my story, my Father’s plan, the Son has rescued me
Oh what a Gospel, Oh what a peace, my highest joy and my deepest need
Now and forever He is my light, I stand in the Gospel of Jesus
There is one Gospel to which I cling, all else I count as loss
For there, where justice and mercy meet, He saved me on the cross
No more I boast in what I can bring, No more I carry the weight of sin
For He has brought me from death to life, I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
There is one Gospel where hope is found, the empty tomb still speaks
For death could not keep my Savior down, He lives and I am free
Now on my Savior, I fix my eyes, My life is His and His hope is mine!
For He has promised I, too, will rise, I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
And in this Gospel the church is one, We do not walk alone
We have His Spirit as we press on, to lead us safely home
And when in glory still I will sing, of this old story that rescued me
Praise to my Saviour, the King of life, I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ [Repeat]
Confession of Sin
Isaiah 55:6-9
Leader: “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;
All: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Leader: let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
All: and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Leader: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
All: For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Silent Prayers
Assurance of Forgiveness
Isaiah 55:10-13
Leader: For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
All: it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Leader: For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace;
All: the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Leader: Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
All: and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”
Amazing Grace
Words & Music: John Newton, 1779; John P Rees, Edwin Othello Excell.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T’was grace that taught my heart to fear.
And grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.

Sermon Passage
Malachi 1:1-5
1 The oracle of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi. 2 "I have loved you," says the LORD. But you say, "How have you loved us?" "Is not Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the LORD. "Yet I have loved Jacob 3 but Esau I have hated. I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert." 4 If Edom says, "We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins," the LORD of hosts says, "They may build, but I will tear down, and they will be called 'the wicked country,' and 'the people with whom the LORD is angry forever.'" 5 Your own eyes shall see this, and you shall say, "Great is the LORD beyond the border of Israel!”
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

The Love Of God
by: Frederick M. Lehman (1917)
The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell
it goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell
The wand'ring child is reconciled by God's beloved Son
The aching soul again made whole and priceless pardon won
CHORUS:
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
the saints’ and angels’ song
When ancient time shall pass away and human thrones and kingdoms fall
When those who here refuse to pray on rocks and hills and mountains call
God’s love so sure, shall still endure all measureless and strong
Grace will resound the whole earth round the saints’ and angels’ song
Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made
Were ev’ry stalk on earth a quill and ev’ryone a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky
The Lord’s Supper
† Receive bread and juice from one of our section hosts near you. Gluten free wafers are available at the front table. We will all eat and drink together.
The Love Of The Father
CityAlight
Lift up your voices and lift up your praise
Join with the heavens declaring the wonders
Of His faithfulness forever
Sing of the victory, the hope of the world
The Savior has risen, the Spirit has come to
Bring us into love forever
CHORUS:
Oh, we are the people of God
With the freedom of hope in our hearts
How great is the love of the Father
Lifted from darkness and into the light
The sons and the daughters are loved at a price
Our God has made us His forever
BRIDGE:
This is the song of the redeemed, the ransomed and the free
Given life at such a price; this is love, this is love
And when the Father calls us home and we see Him on the throne
Hear the voices sing as one, “This is love, this is love”
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
