Call to Worship
Revelation 3:14-22
Leader: "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. "'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
All: For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
Leader: I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.
All: Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
Leader: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"

Crown Him With Many Crowns
By Matthew Bridges (1851); Godfrey Thring (1871)
Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity
Crown Him the Lord of love, behold His hands and side
Rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight
But downward bends his burning eye at mysteries so bright
Crown Him the Lord of life who triumphed over the grave
Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save
His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die
Crown Him the Lord of years, the Potentate of time
Creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime
All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou has died for me
Be Thou, O Lord, through endless days, adored and magnified
He Will Hold Me Fast
Keith and Kristen Getty
When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold through life's fearful path;
For my love is often cold; He must hold me fast.
CHORUS:
He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.
Those He saves are His delight, Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in his holy sight, He will hold me fast.
He'll not let my soul be lost; His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast. (Chorus)
For my life He bled and died, Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied; He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight, When He comes at last! (Chorus)
Confession of Our Sin
Mark 9:24
Leader: Immediately the father of the child cried out and said,
All: "I believe; help my unbelief!"
Silent Prayers of Confession
Assurance of God’s Forgiveness
2 Corinthians 1:18-22
Leader: As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but in him it is always Yes.
All: For all the promises of God find their Yes in him.
Leader: That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us,
All: and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
Lamb of God
By: Jason Ingram, Andi Rozier, Meredith Andrews
You came from heaven’s throne acquainted with our sorrow
To trade the debt we owe, Your suffering for our freedom
CHORUS:
The Lamb of God in my place
Your blood poured out, my sin erased
It was my death You died, I am raised to life
Hallelujah, the Lamb of God
My name upon Your heart, my shame upon Your shoulders
The power of sin undone, the cross for my salvation
BRIDGE:
There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love

Sermon Passage
John 5:30-47
30 "I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. 31 If I alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is not deemed true. 32 There is another who bears witness about me, and I know that the testimony that he bears about me is true. 33 You sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34 Not that the testimony that I receive is from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved. 35 He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. 36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me. 37 And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen, 38 and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent. 39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. 41 I do not receive glory from people. 42 But I know that you do not have the love of God within you. 43 I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. 44 How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"
Leader: The grass withers, the flower fades...
All: ...but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Words Helen Howarth Lemmel (1922). Tune: LEMMEL (Lemmel).
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Turn your eyes to the hillside
Where justice and mercy embraced
There the Son of God gave His life for us
And our measureless debt was erased
CHORUS:
Jesus, to You we lift our eyes
Jesus, our glory and our prize
We adore You, behold You, our Savior ever true
Oh Jesus, we turn our eyes to You
Turn your eyes to the morning
And see Christ the Lion awake
What a glorious dawn, fear of death is gone
For we carry His life in our veins (Chorus)
Turn your eyes to the heavens
Our King will return for His own
Every knee will bow, every tongue will shout
“All glory to Jesus alone!” (Chorus)
The Lord’s Supper

There Is One Gospel
By: CityAlight
There is one Gospel on which I stand
for all eternity
It is my story, my Father’s plan,
the Son has rescued me
Oh what a Gospel, Oh what a peace,
my highest joy and my deepest need
Now and forever He is my light,
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus
There is one Gospel to which I cling,
all else I count as loss
For there, where justice and mercy meet,
He saved me on the cross
No more I boast in what I can bring,
No more I carry the weight of sin
For He has brought me from death to life,
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
There is one Gospel where hope is found,
the empty tomb still speaks
For death could not keep my Savior down,
He lives and I am free
Now on my Savior, I fix my eyes,
My life is His and His hope is mine!
For He has promised I, too, will rise,
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
And in this Gospel the church is one,
We do not walk alone
We have His Spirit as we press on
to lead us safely home
And when in glory still I will sing
of this old story that rescued me
Praise to my Saviour, the King of life
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Praise to my Saviour, the King of life
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
I stand in the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Benediction
† We invite you to stretch out your hands as you receive the Lord’s blessing.
